Case Study 4

At a major electronics production client of ours, several executives shared a personal commonality. They all had sons or daughters graduating college within a common 2 year span. The executives had utilized Putnam/Travers to supply similarly aged interns over the years, and wondered if we offered any educational services to better prepare their own children for their pending careers. Putnam enrolled the students in our Career Boot Camp class, giving the students a huge head start in understanding the employee/employer relationship, refining their P.C. skills to meet the proficiency standards of many employers, interpreting financial statements, and evaluating which industries and career skills were best for their personal preferences. The experience filled in a lot of the “blanks” for these young adults. Their parents noted increased confidence, as the fears that come with any unknown, were removed. Entering the workforce with comfort, confidence, and honed skills set the tone for career success.
